Baseball 야구 (Ya / Gu)

Baseball is maybe the most popular team sport in Korea, with games filling stadiums though out the summer months. The main two teams are the Doosan Bear (Seoul) and the LG Twins (Seoul).

South Korea even won a gold medal at the 2008 Olympics. The most famous Korean baseball players are Chan Ho Park who was the first Korean to play in Major League Baseball. He played for a number of different clubs over 16years, he is still playing now for Hanwha Eagles. There are two current MLB Korean players Hyun Choi Conger (Hank Conger) who plays for the LA Angels and Shin-Soo Choo who plays for the Cleveland Indians.
