As it’s been closing on 2 weeks since our recap of recent Korean Phrases! We thought this was a good point. We’re currently moving slowly but surely on towards the next target of 500!
If you don’t already know we upload new phrases on to both our Facebook and Twitter pages a few times a week.
We post a new useful words or phrases which we hope anyone studying Korean, living in or just visiting South Korea might find useful.
These phrases don’t really follow much of a pattern but are often linked to changes in the weather, seasons, events, holidays, news and more.

Queen – 여왕 (Yeo / Wang)


Queen Elizabeth – 엘리자베스 여왕 (Elizabeth _ Yeo / Wang)

Today today celebrate the Diamond Jubilee (60years on the thrown) with our friends from the UK and elsewhere in the commonwealth, we have gone for the word Queen or Queen Elizabeth.

The word 여왕 (Yeo / Wang) basically means female king with 여 meaning female and 왕 meaning King. Also Diamond Jubilee in Korean is 다이아몬드 축제 (Diamond _ Chug / Jae).
