Bear – Fresh Korean Word of the Day for Monday June 25th

Bear 곰 (Gom)

Hello and Welcome to the start of a new week, this week we will be looking at 5 different animals. The first animal is a Bear or in Korean 곰 (Gom).

Bears are very famous in Korean culture and stories including bears date back 100’s of years. There are only 11 wild Moon Bears living in Korea at the moment, so seeing one is unlikely. Bears also appear in Korean popular culture with the baseball team the Doosan Bears and in the children’s song the three bears, here is a video for your enjoyment:
