Well we’ve made it to the middle of the week and our 3rd geological word of the day. Today’s word is Desert or 사막. Of course South Korea has no desert’s however at the moment it does feel like desert type heat outside.

River – Fresh Korean Word of the Day for Tuesday July 24th

River – 강 (Gang)

Containing on from yesterdays theme today’s Fresh Korean Word of the Day is River or 강. The most famous river in Korea is of course the Han River (한강) which pasts thought the middle of Seoul. The most famous bridge crossing the Han River is the Banpo Bridge in Seoul which features a Moonlit Rainbow fountain.

The longest river in South Korea is the Naktong River (낙동강) which runs for 525km starting in the Taebaek Mountains and finishing in Busan.

Mountain – Fresh Korean Word of the Day for Monday July 23rd

Mountain – 산 (San)

Well it’s the start of another week and that means a new word of the day topic, this week we are going to focus different geological features. Today’s word is Mountain.

There are many small mountains all across  South Korea, and South Korea is even hosting the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Some notable mountains are Mount Halla (한라산), Seorak Mountain (설악산) and Baekdu Mountain (백두산) *In North Korea*

Well just a quick one today. Today’s Fresh Korean word of the day is Spider or 거미. There are a number of different kinds of spider in South Korea however none are very big or dangerous.

Well it’s finally the weekend and that means it’s time to let our hair down, relax and have Fun or 재미.
